Careers
The work is real. So is the training.
Canaan hires continuously in Kuala Lumpur and Gulistan. We are not always advertising a specific role — so tell us where you fit, and your application stays on file until there is one.
Where you could work
Five operations. You would join one.
Each one is a different day's work. Pick the one that sounds like you when you apply — or say you are not sure, which is a real answer.
-
01
Customer Experience
Answering people on voice, chat, email and messaging, and staying with a problem until it is actually resolved.
-
02
Trust & Safety
Reviewing content against a client's policy and deciding what happens to it. Some of that content is distressing, and we say so before you apply, not after.
-
03
IT Helpdesk
Taking access, device and incident requests at the first point of contact, then fixing them or escalating them cleanly.
-
04
CRM & Automation
Configuring the ticketing, routing and reporting that the other teams work inside, and connecting it to the client's systems.
-
05
HR & Payroll
Running payroll calendars, employee records and recruitment funnels to a schedule that does not move.
How we work
What we ask of managers, not just of agents.
These four are how Canaan is run internally. They are written down because a culture that is only asserted at interview is not one.
- Growth over pressure
- Improvement over perfection. A performance-driven culture that only measures output produces attrition, and in moderation work it produces harm.
- A safe environment
- Leaders own their own actions. People raise problems without expecting to be blamed for them.
- Continuous learning
- Training is part of the operating cost, not an exception to it.
- Feedback in all directions
- Upward and sideways, not only down.
Duty of care
Support is designed in, not offered after.
Shift patterns, escalation routes and training time are set before an operation starts running — for every team here, not as something arranged once somebody is already struggling.
Different work is hard in different ways. An overnight helpdesk rota, a payroll close week, a queue of angry customers and a content review shift each take something different out of a person, and each is staffed and rotated accordingly.
Clients ask us about this during procurement. Ask us during hiring — you will get the same answer.
Where we hire
Two floors we own, in two countries.
Kuala Lumpur and Gulistan are Canaan sites with Canaan staff on them. The languages below are the ones our teams work in — if yours is on the list, say so when you apply.

After you apply
What actually happens next.
Including the part most careers pages leave out: what happens when there is no role open on the day you apply.
-
01
You apply once
One form, no account to create, no role number to quote.
-
02
The people team reads it
A person, against current and upcoming needs across both hubs.
-
03
We are direct with you
About the role, the hours and the content — during hiring, not after.
-
04
Or you stay on file
We do not discard applications when no role is open. We come back to them.
Apply
Tell us where you fit.
Three short steps. A CV helps but is not required — if you would rather send it later, apply without one.
- Who reads it
- Canaan's people team. Applications are not shared with clients.
- Where your CV is stored
- Your CV is sent only to Canaan's people team with your application. It is not published on the website.
- How long we keep it
- Until you ask us to remove it, so we can come back to you when a role opens. Handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
Before you apply
The questions candidates actually ask us, answered the way we would answer them in the room.
No role open today is not the same as no.
Canaan hires continuously across both hubs. Send one application and it stays on file — we come back to them when a role opens.
